Government and public sector

Public services every citizen can reach.

Information lines, appointments, registrations and feedback on WhatsApp, USSD and voice — with SMS for confirmations and reminders — including for people with no smartphone and no data.

A community health worker referral line on the Buni.ai canvas. A step that alerts the on-call midwife is added after the nearest-facility lookup. The USSD simulator reports bleeding and the referral path runs through to the midwife alert. The line is published, and a health worker dials *384*88# on an Android phone, reports bleeding and receives the referral.

The problem

Most digital services stop at the smartphone.

An app or a website reaches the people who already have data and a smartphone. A public service has to reach everyone else too — on the phone they carry, without a data plan.

Buni.ai puts USSD menus and voice lines on the same canvas as WhatsApp and web chat. One service answers every citizen, one team runs it, and every change is versioned, checked before it goes live, and recorded.

What agencies build

Services people can use from any phone.

Appointments

Book, reschedule and cancel over WhatsApp or USSD, with an SMS to confirm.

Registration and eligibility

Collect structured details with validation, and check them against your own systems mid-conversation.

Information lines

Answers drawn from the documents you publish, with a person one step away when a question needs one.

Reminders and notices

SMS and WhatsApp messages sent on a schedule or when a record changes.

Reporting from the field

Front-line staff report by USSD or WhatsApp; each record lands in a data store you can export.

Complaints and feedback

Capture, route and resolve cases, and ask for a satisfaction rating when a chat is resolved.

How a deployment works

From scope to a service your team runs.

  1. STEP 01

    Scope

We agree the service, channels, languages and the systems it must connect to.

  2. STEP 02

    Build and localise

We build the flows, connect your systems and deliver them in your languages.

  3. STEP 03

    Test and train

Your staff test every path in the simulators and learn to change flows themselves.

  4. STEP 04

    Launch and run

We go live through your aggregator or carrier and support the service for an agreed period.

Security and governance

Questions your procurement team will ask.

Who can change the service?
Organisation, project and data-store roles. Only owners and admins publish.
Is every change recorded?
Publishes, access and role changes, API tokens and AI changes go to an append-only audit log, as does every time our staff access your data.
Can a bad change be undone?
Yes. Draft and live versions are separate, every publish is validated, and you can roll back from version history.
Where is data processed?
On AWS in the United States (us-east-1). In-country hosting is not offered as standard — tell us early if your mandate requires it.

Tell us about the service you need to deliver.

We’ll reply with how Buni.ai would deliver it and what it would take.
