Terms that match how BuniAI actually works

These Terms explain the rules for using BuniAI's shared hosted platform to build, operate, and publish chatbot, automation, and USSD experiences.

They are written to be readable first, but they still form a binding agreement between you and BuniAI Ltd.

The agreement

1.Acceptance and scope

These Terms of Use form a legal agreement between you and BuniAI Ltd (collectively, BuniAI, we, us, and our) for access to and use of the BuniAI platform, website, hosted applications, and related services.

BuniAI provides software for building, testing, publishing, and managing chatbot, automation, and USSD experiences. By accessing the platform, creating an account, using a free or paid plan, or using any related service, you agree to these Terms.

If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company, team, or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

Access

2.Eligibility and account responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise able to enter into a binding contract under applicable law, to use BuniAI.

  • You must provide accurate account, billing, and organization information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account or under accounts that you provision for your organization.
  • You must promptly notify us if you believe your account, token, or credentials have been compromised.

Use responsibly

3.Permitted use and restrictions

You may use BuniAI only in compliance with applicable law, these Terms, and any written limits associated with your selected plan.

You may not use the service to:

  • violate law, regulation, or the rights of others;
  • upload or transmit content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, abusive, or infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • probe, scan, reverse engineer, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to the platform, our systems, or another customer's data;
  • interfere with service integrity, bypass plan limits, or use the service in a way that creates abusive load or security risk;
  • build or deploy workflows that send spam, phishing, harmful code, or deceptive automated communications.

Your data

4.Customer content, workflows, and integrations

You retain ownership of the content, prompts, workflow logic, messages, knowledge data, media, configuration, and other materials you submit to BuniAI (together, Customer Content).

You grant BuniAI a limited, non-exclusive right to host, copy, process, transmit, and display Customer Content solely as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service for you and your organization.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have all rights, permissions, notices, and consents required to submit Customer Content and to connect third-party systems such as CRM, messaging, calendar, support, spreadsheet, payment, or automation services.

  • When you configure integrations, you authorize us to store and use the credentials, tokens, or API keys required to execute the workflows you configure.
  • You are responsible for the downstream effects of actions performed through those integrations, including messages sent, records created, or data synchronized.
  • If you disconnect an integration or delete associated credentials, related automated features may stop working.

Human review required

5.AI features and generated output

BuniAI may provide AI-assisted features such as prompt-based authoring, suggestions, generation, summarization, classification, routing, or workflow assistance. These features may rely on third-party AI providers selected or made available within the product.

  • AI-generated output may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, or unsuitable for your use case.
  • You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and approving all AI-generated or automatically generated content, logic, and decisions before production use.
  • You must not rely on BuniAI or its AI features as a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical, compliance, or other regulated advice.

Commercial terms

6.Plans, billing, and refunds

Some parts of the service are available on free plans and some require a paid subscription or other commercial agreement. Fees, usage thresholds, and feature access depend on your selected plan or order terms.

  • You agree to pay all applicable fees, taxes, and charges associated with your selected plan.
  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, subscriptions renew and remain active until canceled in accordance with the product flow or your commercial agreement.
  • Refund requests are governed by our Refund Policy and any plan-specific commercial terms.

Ownership

7.Intellectual property

The BuniAI platform, including our software, visual design, documentation, trademarks, and other service materials, is owned by BuniAI Ltd or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the service for your internal business or authorized project purposes.

Except as expressly permitted by law or these Terms, you may not copy, distribute, sublicense, sell, lease, frame, or create derivative works of the service.

Service continuity

8.Suspension and termination

We may suspend or limit access to the service if reasonably necessary to protect the platform, investigate abuse, respond to legal requirements, address non-payment, or stop conduct that violates these Terms.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate your access for material breach, prolonged inactivity on free services, security risk, or where continued service is impracticable.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Some data or records may remain in backups or logs for a limited period as described in our Privacy Policy.

No warranties

9.Disclaimers

The service is provided on an as is and as available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly secure, or fit for every use case.

We do not warrant third-party services, integration endpoints, telecom networks, cloud providers, AI provider responses, or external systems that the platform depends on or that you choose to connect.

Risk allocation

10.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuniAI Ltd and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity arising out of or related to the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising from or relating to the service will not exceed the total amount you paid to BuniAI for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100 if you did not pay us during that period.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under applicable law.

Updates

11.Changes to the service or these Terms

We may update the service, plans, features, documentation, or these Terms from time to time. When we make material updates to these Terms, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date.

Continued use of the service after the revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Final terms

12.Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Rwanda, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Unless otherwise required by law, courts located in Rwanda will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service.
